Itinerary the Etosha National Park tour 3 nights/4 days

Etosha National Park
A visit to the Etosha National Park is one of the highlights of travelling Namibia. Almost all African animal species are represented in the huge nature reserve, approx. 22 000 square kilometres in size. There is an estimated number of 250 lions in the park, 300 rhinos, 2 500 giraffes, 6 000 zebras and more than 2 000 elephants.

Day 1: Windhoek – Etosha
You’ll be picked up by our guide or collect your rental vehicle in the morning and depart from Windhoek heading towards Etosha National Park.
At one time the largest game reserve in the world, the park was reduced t its present size of 22 270 square kilometres – it still classifies as one of the largest reserve in Africa. In the centre of the park, covering an estimated 5 000square kilometres is the pan which gives the Park its unique character. The lodges where we will be sleeping are also located in the park.
The pan is a vast shallow depression where heat hazes tease the eye and spiraling dust devils race across the brilliant white surface. A series of waterholes along the edge of the pan guarantees rewarding game viewing.

Day 2 & 3: Etosha National Park
These two days , we will undertake game viewing across the National Park. The Etosha National Park is one of Africa’s great game Parks. Centred around the vast expanse of Etosha Pan, the park is a sanctuary to the largest population on the western sub-species of the black and white Rhino, large herds of elephant, the striking black-faced Impala, lions and a profusion of other animals and birds.
The game and birds found here are typical of the savannah plains of Southern Africa, but includes several species endemic to the western side of the continent, adjacent to the Namib Desert. Among the rare species, black rhino and white rhino are sometimes seen.
