Itinerary of classic Namibia program 11 nights/12 days

The Namibian explorer Includes a visit to Etosha National Park, Sossusvlei, Waterberg Plateau, Rock Air Paintings in Damaraland, Cape Cross & Swakopmund, the dunes at Sossusvlei and ends with the one night in the Kalahari Desert


Day 1: Windhoek
Arrival at Windhoek's Hosea Kutako International Airport, Transfers to Windhoek and collect your rental vehicle you will be met by our representative who will assist you with the collection of your hired vehicle, go through your itinerary and answer any questions that you may have. Proceed to today’s accommodation in Windhoek for check-in and the remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Windhoek – Waterberg
After breakfast your journey starts with a drive north. Travel towards Okahandja route to Okahandja where you can visit the country’s best known wood carvers' market.
Continue towards Waterberg Plateau there are some great hiking trails of varying lengths and the scenery is great. This lush and green flora attracts a diverse array of fauna.

Day 3 & 4: Waterberg – Etosha National Park
This morning continue north via the mining town of Tsumeb, it’s Museum as well as Lake Otjikoto, Continuing along the route you reach the eastern border of the famous Etosha National Park.
Enjoy game viewing from the lodge grounds, explore Fisher’s Pan and Klein Namutoni on game drives inside the park.The Von-Lindequist-Gate of Etosha is close enough to your accommodation to enjoy a full game drive in the Park.

Day 5: Etosha National Park
Your onward journey takes you in a south-westerly direction through the Etosha National Park, with game viewing opportunities en route, at waterholes and next to untarred main roads and sign-posted detours. Check in at the Camp situated inside the park. Here a night drive can be done with the camp vehicle and guide (on option)

Day 6: Etosha – Twyfelfontein
On your way to Damaraland, Proceed towards Khorixas and en route you can stop at the Petrified Forest, Organ Pipes and the Burnt Mountain. At Twyfelfontein, local guides stand ready to show you around the pre-historic rock art galleries discovered on the slopes of a boulder-strewn hill. This is Namibia’s World Heritage Site.

Day 7: Twyfelfontein – Swakopmund
On your first leg in a southerly direction, the Brandberg Mountain remains a prominent landscape feature, until you reach Uis, a former mining village with restaurant and re-fueling facilities. Continue towards Swakopmund with a possible to do a detour to Cape Cross. Arrive in the afternoon at the Namibia’s premiere holiday resort is steeped in history and may be explored on foot and on guided tours that can also cover its desert and maritime surroundings, as well as Namibia’s largest deep-sea harbour in neighbouring Walvis Bay. Day 8: Swakopmund
Today you have an entire day at leisure to explore the little slice of Bavaria that is Swakopmund, or visiting the Walvis Bay lagoon for optional activities. These include, but are not limited to: such as scenic flights, boat excursions on the Walvis Bay lagoon, quad-bikes, sand-boarding, sky-diving: Mother Africa Tours will assist you with your bookings for excursion and activity to secure your participation.

Day 8 & 9: Swakopmund – Sesriem
Driving across vast desert plains and along winding pass roads towards your next destination situated near the Sesriem Gate of the Naukluft Park. An afternoon visit of the Sesriem Canyon is perfect for stretching legs, and a befitting overture to the ultimate desert experience, when you visit Sossusvlei, at sunrise the following morning. The Namib Desert is reputed to be the oldest Desert in the World, with some of the highest sand dunes found at Sossusvlei. Accommodation in a lodge/camp in Sesriem/Sossusvlei Area

Day 10: Sesriem – Kalahari Desert
After breakfast, you will depart for the Kalahari Desert.. During the early afternoon you will arrive at Kalahari at the lodge with time for an optional excursion in the property.
